i read cooking blogs way more often than i’d like to admit. sometimes i’ll fall asleep imagining and fantasizing about the potato corn chowder i will one day make or how tomorrow night i’ll really try to massage the dressing onto my kale, “yeah, that’ll be great…”
i rarely see non-veg/non-vegan cooking blogs. my favorite ones are when the blogger has an About Me section that talks about her struggles with eating disorders over the years and how she finally has a grasp on healthy eating/eating to live (uhh sure you do…). Usually these blogs have a bunch of photo evidence of her weight and hair changes over the past 5-15 years. Usually the woman is married to a man with a case of pussy-face who was with her through thick and thin (literally). These girls tend to make easy shit that I can handle. They also talk about their work outs. It’s like, the girls from the pro-ana/thinspiration livejournal communities all got their MSWs and are now doing “health-blogging”. Im serious when I say they’re my favorite. They’re not pretentious at all and they over-share a lot.
